 Mainstem Chesapeake Bay
CB3.1 is a mid-channel station located in the upper main Bay, southeast of Gunpowder Neck. The station marks the lower limit of the salinity transition zone, and is in the oligohaline zone (salinity 0.5 to 5 ppt). The station has an approximate depth of 11 meters.
