Fast Fact:

Large populations of G. uncatenum will cause the water to turn a coffee color.  Large numbers were found in the Magothy River on Sept. 7, 1986 (19,421 per ml).

Distribution Mesohaline.
Description 30-62um long, 20-43um wide, girdle displaced 1/3 body length.
