Wild Celery is an important food source for
waterfowl, particularly the canvasback duck. It is far less abundant today in many
areas of Chesapeake Bay than it was historically.

Description
Linear, ribbon-like leaves all emerging from the base of the plant. Leaves to
1.5 m long and approximately 1 cm wide. Flowers July through September.
