The river input component measures nutrients, sediment and freshwater flow at stations located at the head of tide on the Susquehanna, Potomac, Patuxent and Choptank rivers. This information provides the verdict on whether management actions in the Bay’s watersheds are actually reducing the loads of nutrients and sediments entering the Bay.
