Railroad Creek
Baltimore County
The Department of Natural Resources has received a request to establish a
Minimum wake zone or an Idle speed zone all year in the Railroad Creek area. No
regulation currently exists.
The petitioner is requesting this action based on his belief that such a
restriction is necessary to promote safety to protect swimmers, canoe/kayakers,
wildlife, property and the environment.
The Department will conduct a survey and study of this area during the 2012
boating season. Interested parties are encouraged to provide comment on the
requested regulatory change. Written comments will be accepted until September
7, 2012. You may
