Notice to Boaters

Anne Arundel County

The Department of Natural Resources has received a request to change the current 6-knot (6.9 MPH) speed limit from all year to Saturdays, Sundays and State holidays during the boating season, which is April 15 through October 15.

The petitioner is requesting this action based on his belief that this area is not a high traffic area during the week.

The Department will conduct a survey and study of this area during the 2012 boating season. Interested parties are encouraged to provide comment on the requested regulatory change. Written comments will be accepted until September 7, 2012. You may enter comments on our website or send them directly to mgrant@dnr.state.md.us or they may be mailed to:
