The Maryland Boat Act Advisory Committee, BAAC reviews boating regulations for the State of Maryland. BAAC is made up of representatives of people from all different active water groups in Maryland. They are appointed by the Secretary of the Department of Natural Resources and are a citizen volunteer committee. They donate their time and boating experience to provide insight into proposals for regulatory action. The Committee meets on a regular basis to review regulatory proposals. Meetings are open to the public and public input is encouraged. To obtain information on the next Maryland Boat Act Advisory Committee meeting, call (410) 260-8013 or (410) 260-8417.
