
Regulation Requests for 2012
- Susquehanna River at Havre de Grace –
The Department of Natural Resources has received a request to extend the
current 6-knot (6.9 MPH) speed limit Saturdays, Sundays and State holidays
on a section of the Susquehanna River beginning at Red Buoy #18 extending
700 yards north to an area including all the waters from Red Buoy #18 to the
Amtrak railroad bridge and the width of the river effective all year.

Railroad Creek –
The Department of Natural Resources has received a request to establish a
Minimum wake zone or an Idle speed zone all year in the Railroad Creek area.
No regulation currently exists.
- South River at the Riva Bridge –
The Department of Natural Resources has received a request to change the
current 6-knot (6.9 MPH) speed limit from all year to Saturdays, Sundays and
State holidays during the boating season, which is April 15 through October
15.
- South River at Beacon #17 –
The Department of Natural Resources has received a request to change the
current speed limit on a portion of the South River between the Route 2
Bridge and the Riva Road Bridge. The area is between Beacon #17 and the
shoreline of the Edgewater Beach Community, Community Beach. The request is
to establish a 6-knots (6.9 MPH) speed limit all year. The current speed
limit is 35-knots (40.25 MPH) sunrise to sunset (daylight) and 20-knots (23
MPH) sunset to sunrise (nights) during the boating season only, which is
April 15 through October 15.
