Partners in the Coastal Bays ProgramThe Maryland Department of Natural Resources is a partner in the Maryland Coastal Bays National Estuary Program, an organization dedicated to the protection and preservation of these important national resources. In 1999, the MD Coastal Bays Comprehensive Conservation Management Plan (CCMP) was approved and thus began the implementation of over 500 actions, listed in the plan, by the twenty eight partners. The four major implementation areas include water quality; fish & wildlife; recreation & navigation and community & economic development. DNR Implementation Summaries |
