DNR Announces Meeting Schedule To Present Proposed
Hunting And Trapping Season Dates And Regulation Changes

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced the public meeting schedule to present proposed hunting and trapping specifications for resident game species and select migratory game species for both the 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 hunting license year.

DNR’s Wildlife & Heritage Service adopts hunting and trapping regulations for resident game species on a biennial schedule. Four public meetings will be held to solicit public comment.

“We look forward to discussing our proposals with hunters and others interested in Maryland’s wildlife,” said Wildlife & Heritage Service Director Paul A. Peditto.

Public comments on the proposed regulations will be accepted until 4:00 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2004.

Directions: Go north on Rt 32 from the intersection of Rt 26 and Rt 32. Go to the first light and turn left on Bartholow Road. Go up the hill and the school is on the right. Go in the main entrance and the auditorium is on the right.

Directions: Take Exit 33 off I-68 and go towards Frostburg. Go down the hill and turn left on University Boulevard. Go about 1/2-3/4 miles to Dunkle Hall on the right. Parking is available across University Boulevard from Dunkle Hall in the Public Safety Parking Lot, or in the parking lot on the same side of University Boulevard as Dunkle Hall, but up the hill just past Dunkle Hall.
