Center For Marine Biotechnology To Receive Donation For Blue Crab Research

WHO: Maryland Watermen’s Association, Chesapeake Bay Environmental Planners (CBEP), University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute’s Center of Marine Biotechnology (COMB), Maryland Department of Natural Resources.

WHAT: Presentation of a $100,000 donation to the CBEP/COMB blue crab hatchery project by Phillips Seafood and the announcement of opening new juvenile crab “grow out” nurseries. A presentation of recent advancements in the COMB blue crab hatchery research and a tour of the COMB crab hatchery will also take place. Refreshments will be served.
