Carrying Capacity of Lake Examined
MCHENRY, MD — The final report on boating and commercial uses at Deep Creek Lake will be presented at a public meeting June 26 at 11 a.m.
Environmental Resources Management (ERM), of Annapolis, Md., will make the presentation to the DNR and the Deep Creek Lake Policy and Review Board at 11 a.m. at the Discovery Center at Deep Creek Lake State Park.

Information about peak boating use and management alternatives are included in the study report as well as an analysis of public acceptance of those alternatives.
The final report will soon be posted on the Deep Creek Lake State park web site at http://www.dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/western/deepcreeklake.html . A copy of the report will also be available for public reference at the Discovery Center during regular business hours.
