DNR Charges Unlicensed Tree Care Practitioner
Man Pled Guilty to Practicing Without a License in 2002, has been charged numerous times in 2004
ANNAPOLIS —John Stanley Oganowski of National Tree Service in Pasadena pled guilty in Baltimore County District Court June 18 with operating a tree-expert business without a license. The charge was a result of an anonymous complaint.
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Forest Service and the Natural Resources Police conducted an investigation after receiving complaints about tree care services performed by National Tree Service to 29 clients in Baltimore County in 2003.
Any tree-care professional who wishes to practice in Maryland must obtain a license. Without a license, advertising and practicing tree-care services in the state are prohibited.
Oganowski failed to appear in Harford County District Court when charged with the same offence in April of 2004. He also failed to appear on the same charge in Anne Arundel District Court in May 2004. In December 2002, Oganowski pled guilty in Baltimore County District Court to operating a tree-expert business without a license.
