Natural Resources Resume Search For Orrtanna Man Missing After Boating Incident
HEREFORD -- Natural Resources Police resumed search efforts today for a drowning victim who has been missing since a boating incident last night at Pretty Boy Reservoir.

The body of Robert Gene Harris, age 47, of Ochard Road in Orrtanna, Pa. (near Gettysburg) remains missing after the 16-foot boat he was in capsized at approximately 8:20 p.m. last night.

NRP began searching with divers at the reservoir near Spooks Hill Road and Kidds School House Road at approximately 7:15 a.m. today. The Baltimore County Police Dive Team is assisting. The search area is approximately 75-100 feet in circumference. Search efforts will continue until his body is located.

The bodies of Allan Wayne Harris, age 54, of the 10000 block of Middletown Rd. in Freeland, Md. (Baltimore County) and Walter William Gover, age 41, of the 20000 block of Middletown Rd., Freeland, Md. were recovered at the scene last night. Both bodies have been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore for autopsy.

Robert Gene Harris, Jr., age 23, of Orchard Rd. in Orrtanna, Pa. is the lone survivor in this incident.

Allan Wayne Harris and Robert Gene Harris Sr. are brothers. Robert Gene Harris Jr. is the son of Robert Gene Harris Sr., and Walter William Gover is the cousin of the elder Harrises.

Natural Resources Police are the lead investigative agency for this incident at this time. As standard with any boating incident, the incident remains under investigation.
