2004 Junior Ranger Program At Greenbrier State Park
BOONSBORO, MD — Greenbrier State Park announced today the remaining dates and times for its summer Junior Ranger program. They are as follows.
The Junior Ranger program, designed for ages 8-14, helps children learn about nature and the outdoors through crafts, nature games, and hands-on experiences. Children also learn something about what it is like to be a Maryland state park ranger.
- Session II: July 22 (Thursday), July 27 (Tuesday), and July 29 (Thursday)
- Session III: August 3 (Tuesday), August 5 (Thursday), August 10 (Tuesday), August 12 (Thursday), August 17 (Tuesday), and August 19 (Thursday)
- Times: 10 a.m.-12 p.m. for ages 8-10; 2 p.m.-4 p.m. ages 11-14
There are several levels of achievement along the Junior Ranger trail, and patches and other awards are earned for achieving each level. The best part about being a Junior Ranger is learning how to care for the environment and how to enjoy the outdoors in a safe and responsible manner.
