Natural Resources Police Investigate Destruction at Wicomico County Farm
ALLEN —The Maryland Natural Resources Police are investigating a complaint of malicious destruction of property that occurred in Wicomico County Thursday night.

At approximately 8 p.m. Thursday, NRP received a complaint of a black sport utility vehicle driving in circles on the Moore Sod Farm on Collins Wharf Road in Allen.

The damaged sustained to the sod, which was ready for harvest, is estimated to be $50,000. Through information from eyewitness accounts, a Maryland license plate number was obtained, which led to the questioning of a juvenile. This juvenile confessed to the incident. NRP are continuing their investigation.

The Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) is an enforcement arm of the Department of Natural Resources. With an authorized strength of 214 officers and a dedicated staff of civilian and volunteer personnel, the Natural Resources Police provide a variety of services in addition to conservation and boating law enforcement duties throughout the State of Maryland. These services include search and rescue, emergency medical services, education, information and communications services on a round the clock basis. NRP is the only police force aside from the Maryland State Police that has statewide jurisdiction.
