Camping Services Reduced at Deep Creek Lake State Park for Fall Season

SWANTON, MD -- Deep Creek Lake State Park has issued a reminder to campers traveling to the area regarding the park’s fall operating schedule. The campground ended its season on Sept. 27 and will reopen on April 29, 2005.

Camping services will be available at Swallow Falls State Park until Dec.13.

Primitive camping is also available with self-registration, year-round at Savage River State Forest and at Potomac/Garrett State Forest at $10 per site. Also, Big Run State Park offers unimproved camping year-round, with self-registration, for $15 per site.

Camping is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis at this time of year. If you have further questions, please direct your inquiries to the specific park or forest office, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.– 4:30 p.m.:
