Maryland $1,000,000 Fishing Challenge Ends Tonight
(July 18) - Today is the last day for anglers to participate in the Maryland $1,000,000 Fishing Challenge, which closes at 11:59 p.m. tonight. All are encouraged to join the more than 88 lucky anglers who have landed tagged fish since the tournament began June 3. For the contest, 2,000 specially tagged striped bass, white perch, Atlantic croaker and largemouth bass were released into the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. Successful anglers are entered into a drawing to play for the $1,000,000 prize on July 23.
