NRP Respond To Boat Fire
NRP responded to a boat fire Monday, Aug. 1 on the Chesapeake Bay near channel marker 81. Michael E. Robinette, of Bear, Del. was operating his 57-foot vessel at approximately 10:45 a.m. when the the port engine stopped and the engine compartment filled with smoke. Robinette and his family were transferred to another vessel traveling with them. No one was injured in the fire, but the vessel, valued at an estimated $250,000 was destroyed. North Beach, Annapolis City and Anne Arundel County Fire Departments assisted.
