American Canoe Association Recognizes MD Water Trails
The American Canoe Association (ACA) recently included the Janes Island State Park water trails in its announcement (Aug. 10) of 12 recommended water trails nationwide. ACA-recommended trails meet certain criteria and stand out as particularly good destinations for paddlers, and these were among the first recognized as part of the ACA’s new 2005 Water Trail Initiative. New ACA-recommended trails will be designated each year.
