River of Words Contest Winners Announced at State Fair
The four winners in the Maryland River of Words Poetry and Art Contest were announced Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Maryland State Fair. River of Words® is an international arts and environmental education program that teaches watershed education through the arts. The winners are: Grades K-6 – Emily Rainey (Salisbury), poetry, and Christopher Bates (Joppa) for art; Grades 7-12 – Amelia Monroe (Myersville), poetry, and Erika Fritz (Baltimore), art.
