DNR to Hold Public Hearing on Croaker
The DNR Fisheries Service will hold a public hearing on the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) Draft Amendment 1 to the Atlantic Croaker Plan, Monday, Sept. 26, 6:30 p.m., C-1 Conference Room, DNR Headquarters, 580 Taylor Ave, Annapolis. Draft 1 proposes the establishment of biological reference points (i.e., biomass and fishing mortality targets and thresholds) to manage the croaker resource and includes options to control fishing mortality regionally or on a coastwide basis.
