Assateague State Park Celebrates Maryland Coast Day
The fun is happening at Assateague State Park Saturday, Sept. 17, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. as the Maryland Park Service celebrates Maryland Coast Day. The event will feature exhibits, animal programs, boat rides on the Discovery, kite flying, sand-castle building demonstrations, live music and food vendors. Visitors can also learn what they can do to protect the coastal bays and visit touch tanks for a close encounter with some of the island's fascinating inhabitants.
