BPW Awards More Than $1 Million in Program Open Space Funds to Montgomery County
On Wednesday, Oct. 5, the Board of Public Works approved $1,026,000 in Program Open Space funds to Montgomery County for two projects. The first is the acquisition of the fourth installment of 18.1 acres of a 90.51-acre equestrian facility, Callithea Farm Park. The property is privately owned and is being purchased by the County to assure its continued operation as an equestrian facility for the benefit of its residents. The second is the rehabilitation of the mini tot lot in Halmos Park in Poolesville to include the installation of ADA-accessible surface material and play equipment.
