BPW Awards $230,440 in Program Open Space Funds to Washington County

On Wednesday, Oct. 5, the Board of Public Works approved $230,440 inProgram Open Space funds to Washington County for park improvement projects in Pangborn Park (installation of new fountains in the lake, a gazebo, ADA-accessible playground equipment and lighting of the tennis courts), Hagerstown Fairgrounds (construction of two ADA-accessible pavilions and the installation of six overhead lights for the deck hockey rink), Hagerstown City Park (construction of a fountain to aerate the lake) and Smithsburg Veterans Park (restroom renovation).
