Board of Public Works Approves More Than $1.2 Million in Program Open Space Funds for Prince George’s County
On Wednesday, Nov. 30, the Board of Public Works approved $1,212,700 in Program Open Space funds for Prince George’s County for the acquisition of the 55-acre Waverly Property on Duvall Road adjacent to the Patuxent River Park. The purpose of this acquisition is to promote and encourage the conservation of water resources, as well as to maintain the natural character and aesthetic qualities of the river.
