BPW Approves a $1.42 Million Acquisition for Manor Woods Park in Howard County

On Wednesday, Dec. 14, the Board of Public Works approved the $1.42 million purchase of over 22 additional acres of land for Manor Woods Park.  The existing 40 acre property will be enhanced with this purchase using Program Open Space funds. The property has a residence and a 200-year old barn that was relocated from the Schooley Mill area of the county. The acquisition will provide open space, recreational opportunities and protection of the natural woodlands and stream area.
