Shop With A Cop II
On Saturday, Dec.17, three uniformed NRP officers accompanied children to Wal-Mart as part of the annual “Shop With A Cop” program sponsored by the St. Mary’s Optimist Clubs. This year up to 100 children will be escorted by police officers of the various agencies in St. Mary's County. The program’s goal, which is coordinated by the Optimist Club with corporate sponsorship from Wal-Mart, is to bring Christmas to children that may not have one otherwise, and to have police officers interact with them in a positive way.
