BPW Approves $328,433 in POS Funds for Garrett County
On Wednesday, August 9, Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr. announced that the Board of Public Works approved $328,433 in Program Open Space funds for three development projects in Garrett County. Town Park West received $16,933 to install a four-seat swing set, a two-seat see-saw, four grills, and six trash receptacles. Grantsville Community Park was awarded $112,500 to upgrade the current electrical system to a three-phase transformer. Broadford Lake Park was granted $199,000 to develop a new ADA compliant playground that includes features easily accessible by children with various physical, hearing, and visual disabilities.
