Maryland Diamondback Terrapin Public Information Meeting

ANNAPOLIS— The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Fisheries Service will hold a public informational meeting on the status of the Maryland diamondback terrapin. The meeting will provide the opportunity for the Department to describe the 2006 commercial fishery and discuss current knowledge of the stock and habitat issues of concern. This is not a hearing on regulations but an opportunity for interested citizens to review diamondback terrapin data for future management measures.

The public meeting will be held 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2007, in the C-1 conference room at the Tawes State Office Building, 580 Taylor Avenue, Annapolis, MD. All interested parties are invited to attend and participate.
