First Free Fishing Day of 2007 this Saturday

Always wanted to fish but wasn’t sure it was for you? Now’s your chance to try – there’s nothing to lose! Grab a fishing rod and take advantage of the year’s first Free Fishing Day this Saturday, June 2. The first two Saturdays in June (June 2 and 9), a person may catch and possess finfish in the tidal and nontidal waters of the state for recreational purposes without an angler's license, Chesapeake Bay sportfishing license, or any fishing stamp normally required. However, all Maryland fishing laws and regulations must be observed.
