Governor O’Malley Appoints 3 New Wildlife Advisory Commission Members
ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Martin O’Malley has appointed three new members to fill at-large vacancies on the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Wildlife Advisory Commission – Tim Lambert of Elkton (Cecil County), Jeffrey Plummer of Centreville (Queen Anne’s County), and Chris Dollar of Stevensville (Queen Anne’s County).
“We are thankful for the energy and expertise that these outdoorsmen offer in service on the Wildlife Advisory Commission,” said Governor O’Malley. “Their efforts will help ensure continued sustainable wildlife management in Maryland so that future and current generations can enjoy our natural resources for years to come.”
Outdoor writer Chris Dollar possesses a diverse knowledge about the Chesapeake Bay and the natural resources that call the Bay home. He currently writes for The Fisherman Magazine, but formerly worked for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
Sportsman Tim Lambert was Past-President for the Maryland Sportsmen’s Association, founding board member of the Maryland Legislative Sportsman’s Foundation, and former Chairman of the Maryland Wildlife Advisory Commission.
Jeff Plummer has more than 35 years of outdoor recreation experience. He is an active member of several wildlife conservation organizations including Ducks Unlimited, the Maryland Wood Duck Initiative, and the Maryland Waterfowler’s Association.
Comprised of 9 members, the Maryland Wildlife Advisory Commission advises the DNR Secretary on issues affecting wildlife management, hunting, and conservation. For more information visit www.dnr.maryland.gov/wildlife/mwac.asp.
