Fort Frederick To Host Ghost Walk
BIG POOL, MD — The Friends of Fort Frederick State Park, Inc. and Fort Frederick State Park present ‘The Ft. Frederick Ghost Walk’ on Saturday, October 20 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Visitors will walk through a guided ‘haunted’ trail where they will encounter costumed actors reenacting historical situations from the French and Indian, Revolutionary and Civil Wars.
Patrons should park at the visitor center (where the tour begins) and wear rugged outdoor clothing, as the terrain is uneven and may be muddy depending on the weather. Admission to the event is $5.00 per person, ages 12 and up; $3.00 per person for children 6 to 11 and children under 6 are admitted free. Visitors should arrive by 9 p.m., as the gates will close promptly at that time for the last tour of the night.
Ft. Frederick is located in Washington County, one mile east off I-70, Exit 12 (Rt. 56 – Big Pool). For more information about this and other scheduled events at the park, please contact Betsy Mellott at 301-842-2155.
