MEDIA ADVISORY - Maryland Firefighters Return From California Wildfires
WHAT: Forty Maryland firefighters will be returning to from a three-week wildfire assignment in California. Fourteen crew members are Maryland Department of Natural Resources personnel. The firefighters live or work in the following counties: Allegany, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Caroline, Carroll, Cecil, Charles, Dorchester, Garrett, Harford, Howard, Kent, Montgomery, Queen Anne’s, Talbot, Washington, Wicomico.
WHEN: Thursday, August 7 at 9 a.m.
WHO: State Fire Supervisor, Monte Mitchell and firefighters from Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Maryland Department of Agriculture, Resource Conservation & Development Service, Maryland Fire Service, Allegany College, Garrett Community College and National Civilian Conservation Corps.
