Fishing Bay WMA Boat Ramp Closed Beginning October 1
Ramp Improvements to Occur Over Next Six Months
Cambridge, MD — The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will temporarily close the Bestpitch Boat Ramp at Fishing Bay Wildlife Management Area beginning Oct. 1 for repairs and improvements to the structure.
For the subsequent six months, bulkheads and ramps will be replaced and paved. Those wishing to access the waterway during this time are encouraged to utilize the Dorchester County ramp on the east side of the Bestpitch Ferry Bridge.
