Deep Creek State Park Boat Ramp Temporarily Closed On September 21
Triathalon to Occur in Park
Boonsboro, MD — The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will temporarily close the Deep Creek Lake State Park boat ramp on Sunday, September 21, 2008 from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. while the SavageMan Triathlon takes place in portions of the park. Park visitors are also advised that delays and congestion may continue on or around the boat ramp for the entire weekend.
The swim portion of the event begins and concludes at the ramp and all traffic will be prohibited while it is in progress. Since the handicapped parking spaces will be unavailable on Sunday, arrangements for special transportation to the ramp can be made prior to the event by contacting the park at 301-387-5563l
