Gunpowder Falls State Park Hosts Second Annual Gunpowder Polar Fair
Kingsville, Md. - Gunpowder Falls State Park will hold its Second Annual Gunpowder Polar Fair on Saturday, April 25th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at North Point State Park.
"This fair will be an excellent opportunity for the public to learn about ways they can contribute to combating global climate change," said Gunpowder Falls State Park Assistant Manager Andrew Hangen. "This is going to be a huge event this year, and we hope to reach local families and help them connect a positive experience in nature with the global environmental big picture."
This event is part of an effort by the park to make a positive and lasting difference in the endeavor to reduce global warming. Visitors will find informative displays on ways to conserve energy in their homes and everyday lives, dynamic presentations about the climate crisis, guided hikes, games, music, prizes and interactive activities for children.
