DNR Offers Maryland Trapper Education Class

Annapolis, MD (May 3, 2010) — The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is offering a Trapper Education Class starting at 9:00 am on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Casselman Valley Sportsman’s Club in Grantsville, Md. Participants who successfully complete the course and earn a passing grade on the exam will receive a Certificate of Trapper Education and be eligible to obtain a Furbearer Permit, which entitles them to trap in Maryland.

Interested participants must register and pay a $5.00 cash fee for the course manual and student workbook at either of the following locations by Thursday, May 27, 2010:

The Trapper Education workbook must be completed and brought to the June 5th class for instructor review. The course will consist of a short classroom session followed by a field session that will demonstrate proper trap handling and setting. A written test will be given at the end of the course.
