Connect With DNR On Facebook And Twitter

Annapolis, Md. (June 10, 2011) — In an effort to increase direct communication with Marylanders and visitors, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has launched its official Facebook and Twitter accounts.

“Facebook and Twitter are two powerful communications tools that have become part of our everyday lives,” said DNR Secretary John Griffin. “These social media platforms provide an outlet for us to communicate with Maryland citizens and visitors who, like us, enjoy and are passionate about our State’s extraordinary natural resources.”

The Access DNR accounts will provide users with a direct and interactive source for all DNR news, from hunting and fishing to boating and State Parks. Facebook and Twitter allow for two-way communication between users and DNR staff — all comments and replies will be answered in a timely fashion.

To keep up with DNR and Maryland’s natural resources, “like” Access DNR on Facebook and follow @AccessDNR on Twitter.
