DNR Closes Avalon Area Of Patapsco Valley State Park Due To Flooding
Public asked to stay away
Elkridge, Md. (September 7, 2011) — The Avalon area of Patapsco Valley State Park in Elkridge is experiencing significant flooding along both the Baltimore County and Howard County sides of the river near U.S. Route 1. Due to flooding, the public is asked to stay away from the area and it will be closed until further notice.
