Neck State Forest Shooting Range Closed September 8

All shooting ranges at
Elk
Neck State Forest will be closed to the public on Saturday, September 8 to
allow for the Northern Chesapeake Sportsman for Kids Field Day. The range will
close at sunset on September 7 and reopen at 9 a.m. on September 9.
The field day is a joint venture between the Northern Chesapeake Sportsmen for
Kids, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, and other partners.
Participants are introduced to firearms safety, receive shooting instruction and
learn the conservation techniques of wildlife management.
