Mandatory Teachers Training Workshop

DNR provides participating teachers with a comprehensive one-day workshop on the Raising Horseshoe Crabs in the Classroom Project. All newly registered teachers are required to participate in the workshop. The workshop is scheduled in late June on a week day each year. Contact Stacy Epperson for the current workshop date.

Participants at the workshop will learn about horseshoe crab biology, history, raising protocols, equipment setup, student experiments and more. They will also receive the necessary equipment and horseshoe crab eggs or larvae to begin the project.
