SAFIS Online Reporting (Crab, Finfish and Charter)
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Fisheries Service is happy to provide you with online commercial reporting services. The Standard Atlantic Fisheries Information System, known as "SAFIS", offers these benefits:
- Enter Trip reports and negative reports online in place of sending in paper reports
- Save on postage, paper and ink (as well as time and energy)
- Reports enter immediately (less delinquent violations)

Blue Crab Electronic Reporting Program
Daily Electronic Blue Crab Harvest Reporting will be offered as an alternative to submitting the Daily Record of Commercial Crabbing paper harvest report. This will include texting from a cell phone and submitting harvest data to a web site from a smart phone or tablet, other options may also be available. - The best way for you to speak with a DNR representative is for you to call the Commercial Reporting Hotline at (1-800-893-2722). This is a voicemail system and you will have the opportunity to leave a message including your name, license number and question. Your phone call will be returned in the order that it was received. We ask that you please be patient, at times we receive a large volume of calls, however, your call will be returned by someone from DNR who can assist you with your problem or question. Thank you.
