Hybrid Bass in the Susquehanna
Type: Tidal
Region: Northern
Location: Susquehanna River
I caught this 25 inch hybrid bass on my birthday July 12. I caugh it on a pink 3" fluke in the Susquehanna River. Just wondering were they came from because there are no white bass around here.
DNR Response: Pennsylvania still stocks hybrids in an number of their impoundments. A few of these hybrids occasionally find their way downstream and end up in the river, these are white bass - striped bass crosses. Usually striped bass eggs and white bass milt but don’t know the specifics on what they use.
