Nice Bass in Lake Elkhorn

Type: Freshwater
Region: Central
Location: Lake Elkhorn

I just landed two nice bass tonight July 24th between 7-8 pm out of Lake Elkhorn in Columbia MD. Both fish were caught on a black spro frog. Two nice blow ups. The second fish you see weighed in at 4.14 lbs, the biggest bass I've got out of here and I know there are bigger ones in here. The last picture is of the bass my buddy got Monday, July 16th at 9:30 am on a spro frog. This one looks to be a solid 5 lbs although it was not weighed. All fish were released to be caught another day. Top water bite seems to be consistant in the early morning hours from 6-9 am or evening hours from 5-9 pm. Top water frogs seem to be the best bet for bigger bass. Although you will get some bites on plastics. I haven't gotten any in a while though. "Tight Lines."
