Location: Coastal Bays
While drifting the back bays of Assateague on 8/19 we caught this on a squid/silverside combo. We were right infront of the airport strip and are unsure what it is. Snakehead Fish maybe? He was a angry little guy none the less.
DNR Response: Hello, you caught an inshore lizardfish, this fish typically lies in wait on the bottom waiting to strike it's prey, they are shaped similar to snakehead.
