Belmont Bay Fishing

Type: Tidal
Region: Southern
Location: Potomac River - Belmont Bay

On September 01, 2012 I went bass fishing and caught some nice bass in Belmont Bay along with several large catfish on spinner baits. Near the end of my day, I was throwing a Senko into the grass. Got a bite (just like a bass bite) set the hooks and all of a sudden this missile comes out of the water, knowing immediately it was a snakehead. It weight about 18-20 lbs and was a great fight. All in all it was a great day on the water.
