Another Slow Day at Big Slackwater
Type: Freshwater
Region: Western
Location: Big Slackwater
Another slow day on the river, despite the ideal fall conditions. Pat O’Toole and I got on the water at Big Slack around 8 am. The fishing was slow all day, however, we did land four quality smallmouth and three more little largemouth. This makes four consecutive trips including Shepherdstown, Dargan and Big Slackwater when we caught a few 7 to 10 inch largemouth. So, they must be hatching and surviving. Hopefully, they will be growing and providing some nice largemouth over the next few years.
