Stocked Cutthroat in the North Branch

Here is a shot of a recent Gunpowder brown trout.

What type of cutthroat trout were stocked into to the North Branch of the Potomac? Also if reproduction did occur how could you tell the difference between a cutthroat like the recent one pictured on the log and a cut-bow?

DNR Response:The cutthroat trout stocked in Maryland are Snake River strain obtained from Wyoming. Bear Creek Trout Rearing Facility biologists raise them to fingerling size and then stock them into the North Branch of the Potomac River. Cutthroat trout generally are more silvery-yellowish colored than the rainbow trout, with the distinct red/orange slash under the lower jaw. Cutthroats generally have very fine spots compared to the rainbow trout as well.
