Exciting Time Tagging DJ Fish

Type: Chesapeake
Location: Chesapeake Bay

Elizabeth, age 11 writes: This fishing trip was awesome and I couldn't have done it with out Capt. Karl, Mate Eric and MD DNR. That day we woke up at 4.30am and I was sooo tired. We got in the car and left towards Deale. I was worried it wasn't going to be exciting, but I was wrong. It was the BEST. When we got on the Boat it took us 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to our spot, but it was worth it. We used all 28 tags and caught some to take home. They were really nice. It was funny because their were boats beside us and they only caught 1 or 2 fish and in total we caught 42 fish. They said we where lucky charms. One time there were 4 fish hooked and we only managed to keep three on. There were 4 of us on the boat, my 2 sisters and my dad. But me and my sisters where the only ones reeling in all the fish. After we went fishing we went home and we had fish for dinner and some friends came over as well.

Diamond Jim Tagging trip 25th July on the "Miss Grace" with Capt. Karl Bieberich and Mate Eric Bergston and DNR biologist Letha Grimes and Eric Z. (with my 2 sisters and my dad)
